One year ago, beneath the sacred arches of Kator Cathedral, Mariak Michael and Aluel Dominic Dim Deng exchanged vows in the presence of God, family, and friends. That sacred moment marked the beginning of a lifelong journey—one defined by love, faith, and unwavering commitment.

As the couple celebrates their first wedding anniversary, Mariak shared a heartfelt letter dedicated to his wife, reflecting on the past year and the enduring bond they share, below is the message.👇

“To My Beloved Wife, Aluel Dominic Dim Deng , On Our First Anniversary

A year ago today, beneath the sacred arches of The Kator Cathedral, I took your hand and vowed my soul to yours, before God the Almighty, family and friends. Since that moment, my world has bloomed with light, because you—my love, became mine forever.

In just one year, you've shown me a love that poets dream of and stars can only envy. You’ve been my calm in storms, my laughter in silence, and the reason I wake up with purpose every day. Your faith in Christ, and prayers reminds me I’m the luckiest man alive.

As we celebrate this beautiful first chapter of our journey, know this: I will never take you for granted. I will love you through every season, through joy and pain, through silence and song. Whatever life brings, I will stand beside you, hand in hand, heart in heart as I said my vows.

To my In-laws, family and friends, thank you for believing in us and sharing this journey with us. To my babe, thank you for always rising to challenge of building of our family.

Cheers 🥂 to a lifetime of love that only grows.

I love you 😘.”
