It’s not that simple to completely flip a room, even one as small as this one. I’ve spent countless hours on Google, YouTube, Pinterest shopping, and not to mention, the hours both Sean and I have put into the physical labour. That’s all considering that this room is not 100% complete. This is 80%. We still need a tv table and a closet desk area.

I ordered a Ruggable but it’s taking for ever to ship. I can’t wait for it to get here though. It’s definitely going to make a huge difference in grounding the colours and patterns in this room.

I think I’m addicted to this, you guys. Thankfully, we still have an entire house to renovate. 😂

I love this room so much already!

If you’re looking to maximize space in a small room (or get a massive bed for a small child 😜) this is the way way to go. The drawers under the bed are large enough to fit all of Bran’s clothes in them eliminating the need for a dresser or a closet. We’re converting his closet into a hide away study area, or “cloffice”.

I ordered the side tables from IKEA and hopefully they arrive early next week. 🤞 We’re going to add a few accents to the room while still maintaining a minimalist approach to the design. We still need to find lamps, a rug, cushions and throw blanket. We also need to build the desk and shelving for the cloffice and a shelf for Bran’s PlayStation.

I can’t forget about the DIY Roman shade. Today Bran and I are going shopping for fabric. If you’ve seen my stories from earlier today you’ll know that I got all the hardware we need from and that I’m so excited for this project as we’ll have real custom Roman shades for a fraction of the cost. Yay!

Last but not least, I’m considering a barn door for the cloffice to make the room look more tidy when Bran’s not on his computer. What do you think? Good idea or too much? 🤔

I am obsessed with our new dining chairs. They are beautiful and fit in so well with our dining table. The simple and clean lines tie in perfectly with the minimal style we’re going for. Best of all, they’re incredibly affordable. I purchased these from Walmart online and I’m blown away with how beautiful they are and with their quality. What do you think?

There is still so much I want to do. There is also painting for us in the near future. Plus we still need to purchase a few things such as lighting and hardware. What do you guys think? Should I switch the cabinet pulls to black or leave silver?

There’s nothing like tulips to make you excited for spring. I love them the most when they’re fully open.

Today I was looking at my calendar, and the realization that we can’t plan any vacations was kind of sad. However, there are still a lot of renovations in the works that will keep us busy this year. We’ve been decluttering and minimizing like crazy over the past few months but we’re far from being done. We’re going to around for it so bring on the spring cleaning!
