A quick recap from the inaugural Team Canada ISDE training camp recap from back in June, held in conjunction with the Riviere’s Revival round of the S.O.R Sprint Enduro Championship.

The camp was put on by Team Canada along with Rad 2.0 and the Canadian Motorcycle Association with training funds provided by the F.I.M.

A look back at the 2025 S.O.R Sprint Enduro Championship season with a postcard of Owen McKill (Sherco Canada / TLD Canada / Riders Edge Suspension) from Round 3 of the series.

This was a crazy one for Owen as he had just completed a drive across Canada for the opening round of the National Cross Country Championship in Quebec. Owen drove 45hrs home to Kamloops B.C. Before turning around and driving another 9 hours back to Alberta for the sprint race. He got in just a few hours before the race started and pushed through a massive sleep deficit to pick up a 2nd-place finish behind eventual series champ Dylan Kaelin ().

It was a hard-core ride by Owen, and he would keep pushing through the series while also racing the National XC champs back East. I covered both of those series in person and it was hard on me as media, never mind having to race!

More postcards from the 2025 Canadian Enduro season to come!

Are you thinking about putting your name forward to race for Team Canada ISDE as a Trophy or Club rider at the 100th Six Days in Portugal next October? The Enduro Bureau is planning a documentary series about the team and its pursuit of a best ever finish at the FIM’s oldest championship.

Through a series of episodes we want to to tell the story of the people behind the team, the highs and lows of the season leading up to Portugal, and the difficulties Canadian racers face in representing their country at Six Days.

So if you’re even thinking about putting your name forward for the 100th ISDE we’d love to hear from you through a DM to The Enduro Bureau so that we can get in touch and tell you a bit more about this exciting project! We’re hoping that we can shine a spotlight on the riders and team and, in turn, help raise visibility and sponsorship/financial support.

Cheers | Noel.

We’re getting closer to the start of the 2025 AMA Endurocross Championship and are busy working on a season preview, but wanted to share this quick edit of Cooper Abbott crushing his hot lap to take P3 in the 2024 Rd. 4 qualifier. Abbott would finish P4 on the night after going 4-7-3 in the motos, on his way to a P3 overall finish in the Championship.

After the Endurocross season ended Abbott headed over to Europe to race the full FIM SuperEnduro World Championship where he finished 7th overall with 5-7-6-9-6-10-6 finishes over the 7 rounds.

Abbott is back for the 2025 Endurocross Championship after making big changes over the summer with a switch to a Kawasaki program and CM Parts Racing

The story behind that crazy night in Idaho Falls… Round 3 of the 2024 AMA Endurocross series turned out to be a barnburner after Colton Haaker (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) took out Trystan Hart (FMF KTM Factory Racing)at the finish of the final moto of the night after they had been battling hard through all 3 motos.

Hart, the defending 2024 Endurocross champion, came into the first night of the Idaho Falls doubleheader with a solid overall lead after winning the first 2 rounds over Jonny Walker (Triumph Factory Racing). Haaker, in his final season with Husqvarna and rumours swirling about his potential retirement at the end of the series, came in well back after going P6/P2 in the first 2 rounds. It was clear Haaker wanted the win in his home state and that he wanted to make a run for a final run at the title to round out a legendary career.

Haaker came out guns blazing in Rd. 3, winning the first 2 motos and building on the momentum he started in Prescott, AZ, the weekend prior. With Hart going 2/4 over the first 2 motos of the night it looked pretty likely that Haaker would take the win in Round 3, and he made sure of it by winning the final moto over Hart after an elbow to elbow battle in the rock garden just 2 corners before the finish.

Crossing the finish line jump Haaker switched lines after glancing back at Hart, chopping the Canadian’s front wheel mid-air and sending him hard to the dirt. Was it statement move before the next night’s 4th round? Almost certainly. Did he mean to take out Hart in the air? Only he knows, but that big left to right line switch on the finish jump after looking back sure made the move (if not the collision itself) intentional.

Luckily Hart was able to walk away, and he bounced back the next night to go 1/3/2 for 2nd place behind Walker and finish 1 place ahead of Haaker.

After that double-header Walker returned to Europe to prep for SuperEnduro and Hart went on to win the final 2 rounds to take his 2nd straight overall championship by 38 points over Haaker. Crazy times in Idaho!
