The funniest thing about being a Black and married to a white person is how some people suddenly become immigration officers, relationship detectives, and DNA analysts all at once. 😭

Ma’am, Sir, I already had papers. I was looking for peace. 😂

It’s wild how people can see love, laughter, friendship, loyalty, and still reduce it to a visa application. Meanwhile, nobody asks if HE is with ME for the jollof rice, good skincare, strong prayers, and premium emotional support. 🤣😭😂

Listen, in*******al relationships are not business transactions. Sometimes two people simply meet, fall in love, annoy each other daily, argue over thermostat temperatures, and build a life together like everybody else.

The assumptions and projections are loud, but the LOVE is louder. ❤️

Yes, I’m from Nigeria but I don’t walk around calling myself an immigrant every five minutes.

Not because it’s derogatory, but because I came here, learned the system, respected the culture, adapted, worked, contributed, paid taxes, built relationships, and added value to society.

That’s life. That’s growth. That’s what humans have done for generations.

People act like moving countries means you must shrink yourself forever and constantly feel like an outsider. No. You can honour where you came from while fully thriving where you are, darling. ❤️

I brought my culture with me, learned a new one, and now both exist beautifully together. That’s not “taking over.” That’s called contributing. 🇳🇬🇨🇦

The 3.5 inches epidural needle was passed through 5 layers of tissue, stopping just millimetres from my spinal cord. Any wrong move and it could be as bad as loosing my mobility.

I had contractions that lasted 14+ hours.
I lost 550ml of blood.
I gained 22kg in pregnancy.
Migraines and tiredness.
My whole body was swollen and painful.
My ankle has not recovered still.
I was sleep deprived.
My ni***es were broken, cracked and sore for weeks.
My sharp memory has become foggy.
Fear.
Anxiety.
Yet, I smiled for photos while silently recovering from one of the hardest physical pains the human body can endure.

Yes, a woman’s body is built for this, but that doesn’t take away how excruciating the pain can get.
