From a very young age — around seven — I felt drawn to spirituality, despite growing up in a non-religious family. I explored many paths along the way: Catholic, Alliance, Lutheran, and United churches, and later Buddhism, guided by a Buddhist teacher in Grade 3.
Even then, I sensed something quietly but clearly — each path carried threads of truth, yet none held the whole truth on its own.
In my late 20s, during a period of intense panic and inner unraveling, meditation entered my life. That moment marked the beginning of a deeper spiritual awakening — not through belief systems, but through direct experience.
I’ve been blessed with many meaningful teachers along the way, yet my greatest teacher has always been my own soul.
Today, with an overwhelming amount of spiritual information available online, I feel both gratitude and discernment are needed.
There is beauty in the access we now have — and also the potential for confusion or misdirection, especially for those just beginning their journey.
Perhaps the invitation now is to slow down, stay grounded, and listen beneath the noise — trusting what feels steady, embodied, and true rather than urgent or sensational.
What helps you stay connected to your soul in a very loud world?
