What an amazing week at Camp Horizon! ☀️💙

I had so much fun making new memories and hanging out with my friends. I got to try so many awesome activities like archery, the high ropes, and even the GIANT SWING!

The giant swing was something I was really nervous about, but I faced my fear and did it! 🎉 I’m so proud of myself for pushing through. Now I feel like I can go even higher next year and take my adventures to new heights!

I can’t wait to go back next summer for even more fun, challenges, and unforgettable memories!

I had a great time visiting the PONI Lab in Calgary and helping pilot new data collection using the Trexo and BioDex systems!

As a Trexo user myself, it was exciting to contribute to research that could help improve mobility technology for others. Thank you to the PONI Lab team for the opportunity to be part of this important work.

What an amazing day at the hospital’s annual conference! I had the opportunity to demonstrate my Trexo robotic walker and share my journey with attendees.

I talked about how I first started walking in a clinical trial and how that eventually led to me getting my own Trexo. The impact it’s had on my life goes far beyond physical benefits—it has given me confidence, independence, and even inspired me to attend university.

I loved meeting so many people and sharing how adaptive technology can open doors and create opportunities. I hope I was able to give attendees a better understanding of how life-changing these technologies can be for people like me.

Hi guys, it’s Alex!

I had the best time in Edmonton at the Alberta Adapted Physical Activity Summit this weekend. I was able to share my journey as someone living with cerebral palsy and demonstrate my Trexo at the Alberta Adapted Physical Activity Summit alongside the PONI Lab. It was such a fun experience!

I was really happy to show the group that people with disabilities are able to do so many amazing things — like walk! Everyone was so interested in my pink Trexo robotic walking device, and I loved being able to share my story and experiences with them.

Last Wednesday night I went to the Saddledome to watch the PWHL TAKEOVER TOUR game TORONTO VS. OTTAWA! It was an awesome hockey game. I loved seeing Natalie Spooner, Sarah Nurse, Renata Fast and Blayre Turnbull! The game was high action and so much fun! Many of those athletes were recently in the Olympics. Toronto won this game. The wheelchair section offers a really great view too! I loved it! .turnbull

I got to speak to 3 classes of Education students at MRU. I shared my story about living with cerebral palsy and all of the things I CAN do. I demonstrated the Trexo robotic walking device and I got to mention how the Trexo has changed my life! It was really fun and I also taught some inclusive games and showed how simple games can be modified to include everyone. My favourite game was full body, Rock-Paper-Scissors. Try it!

I got to speak to a Human Growth and Development class at MRU about my life story. I demonstrated my Trexo and how told the students about it changed my life. It was so much fun chatting with them. They seemed interested in robotic walking for individuals with cerebral palsy!

I was given the opportunity to showcase my Trexo robotic walker and share my story with Adapted Physical Activity Class at MRU. It was great to be able to chat with the students about this amazing innovative technology and the impact the Trexo has had on my life.
