Kim’s Katsu - Kensington

Great portion size, super crispy, and thick, juicy meat!
And the price was reasonable.
My assorted katsu was just $20.50, and I polished off every bite!

Staff were so welcoming and pleasant.

Definitely coming back!

A delightful lunch at Deane House on Oyster Thursday!

Delicious Fogo Island Crab & Shrimp Gnocchi, plus freshly shucked oysters.

For dessert: Maple Cheesecake & Pear Sundae.

An unforgettable sushi experience at Nupo, where Chef Darren MacLean’s vision meets the artistry of Sushi Chef Aki.
Every bite is a perfect harmony of rice and neta (fish)! Two of my absolute favorites: The Madai from Ehime, Japan, raised on mikan (Japanese citrus), with its subtle citrus flavor—simply divine. And the 7-day aged sablefish with Saikyo miso—could eat this endlessly!
Exceeded all my expectations! 🍣✨

I had a tiramisu waffle at Macleod Trail cafe, and it was a magnificent mountain of sweetness!
Excellent service and wonderfully inviting.

Fresh sushi and sashimi alongside traditional Nimono were delightful.

Chef Yoshi has really brought something special to the restaurant while maintaining the restaurant’s legacy.

Federal Budget 2024

The Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP)

As of April 16, first time home buyers would be able to draw down as much as $60,000, up from the previous limit of $35,000, from their RRSP towards a home purchase. The Home Buyers’ Plan allows individuals to make the withdrawals tax-free from their RRSP as long as it’s paid back into the account over the course of 15 years.
