In our talk, Mary shared why it was important to connect with her heritage through this music, the rituals behind some of the songs, and her experience using TONTO (The Original New Timbral Orchestra) to record the synths on the album. Mary’s three recommended artists are Ben Wendel, Bjork and Amanda Sum.
