The Forever Canadian unity bus made a weekend stop in Calgary as part of a province-wide push to encourage Albertans to vote for staying in Canada. 🇨🇦
Former Alberta deputy premier and movement leader Thomas Lukaszuk was at Parkdale United Church helping volunteers distribute lawn signs. He said around 160 pop-up locations are operating across the province with more than 18,000 volunteers participating.
The movement launched as a petition against holding a separation referendum, drawing 404,000 verified signatures. With the Oct. 19 referendum approaching, Lukaszuk said the response has been overwhelming.
