In a thriving community like ours, it may surprise you to learn that 1 in 10 students arrive at school each day without enough food to sustain them. Hunger affects concentration, behaviour and the ability to engage in school activities. It makes success that much harder.

Nutrition for Learning is a registered charitable organization that supports breakfast and snack programs at schools across Waterloo Region. Only 15% of program expenses are covered by government funding. The remaining 85% relies on community support. This auction was launched to fill the funding gap.

They're in need of smaller items for the auction, in the $10-25 range. All are welcome to participate in the auction. Donations can be made to a participating school, or by contacting Kate Schooley at 519-574-3844 (call/text), or email (see below). Following the auction, purchases will need to be picked up at one of our participating schools or in Kitchener (at RE/MAX Twin City, 901 Victoria St. N). Shipping is not available.
