Yesterday would have been my brother Richard’s 60th birthday. 🕊️✨

Richard was, without a doubt, the very first cool person I ever knew.

He was a force of nature—defined by incredible music, effortless style, deep poetry, and a grounding faith.

I still have these vivid memories of him that feel like yesterday:

Brentwood Bay:

Mom was attending UVIC, and Richard took me for a walk. I remember looking up at him—he was wearing his denim jacket and Levi’s, both thumbs hooked casually into his jeans pockets. I remember thinking, “That is the coolest person I have ever seen.” Naturally, I immediately copied him.

#33 Robron:

He woke me up in the middle of the night just to show me the Aurora Borealis. It was the most astonishing, magnificent thing I had ever witnessed. 😭🤯😍

The Soundtrack of Growing Up:

Whenever I didn't get my way, he would start serenading me with "You Can't Always Get What You Want" while I sobbed. 😭

"Pig in the Middle":

Whenever we played and I inevitably got hurt, he’d yell out, "INJURY TO THE PIG!" Mom would be absolutely furious and try to tuck me into bed before he got home... but it never worked.

Richard brought so much depth of words, spirituality, music, and unconditional love into my world. He shaped my taste, showed me the wonders of the night sky, and taught me how to find depth in life.

Happy 60th Birthday in heaven, Richard. Thank you for showing me what cool really means. Love you always, big bro. ❤️🎶🌌

"Tyee Mobile Detailing provides interior and exterior car detailing services. Interior details include full vacuum and spot stain removal, full interior wipe down of plastics, vinyls, and leathers leaving a small shine with UV protective properties. It also includes interior glass cleaning.

A standard exterior detail includes a full vehicle foam bathe and a protective wax applied to the paint that lasts up to 6 months.

It also includes a tire deep clean with a clean matte finish. Both interior and exterior details have optional add ons that can be discussed during booking or on site."

Optional add on services may be discussed on site or over the phone
