Haffner Creek!
Probably the most popular winter crag in the Rockies, Haffner holds upwards of 50 routes ranging from straightforward WI3 on the Practice Flows at the back, to classic moderate mixed lines like Californication on the middle wall, up to steep M8s and harder!

With minimal to no avalanche risk, the crag is popular all winter long for both recreational parties and guided groups, but there’s always plenty of climbs to go around! Thanks to the unpredictable avalanche hazard recently, we’ve been spending a bunch of time at the crags! El Dorado is a great spot to train for bigger, more alpine mixed routes - pictured are Gavin and our author Nick Baggaley on El Mono and Goldmember with Greg Barrett on his first turn behind a proper lens!
