I still can’t believe this is my life…

Not long ago, I was in a very different place.

💔 Grieving the loss of my mom
😞 Job gone overnight
📉 Financial stress up to my eyeballs
🌀 Wondering if I’d ever feel like myself again

I was 50, burnt out, and broke…
And worst of all? I thought maybe this was it.

Best Canada Day in ages 🇨🇦❤️

Started the day with breakfast with my hubby, then grabbed typical spot on the Canmore Hotel corner for the parade, were the lovely surprise of the cousins already there! —this was the first time in a long time I wasn’t rushing back to work after or just popping in for a few minutes. And let me tell ya… it felt damn good to just be in the moment!

Later in the day we got invited on a Bow River rafting trip with friends—and it was absolutely stunning. The kind of peaceful, beautiful afternoon that makes you just stop and go, “Wow. I live here.” And how grateful I am.

Didn’t take many photos—because I was too busy soaking it all in.

Family, friends, sunshine, zero obligations… and a much-needed reminder that joy doesn’t have to be complicated.

Was in bed exhausted (and happy) by 9:30pm like the midlife legend I am 😂

Feeling really grateful today.

!! Oh my gosh and I forgot we stopped in at the Canmore Legion for a late lunch and listened to a fantastic local band!! ❤️
