UPDATE: THIS BEAUTIFUL BUMP FOUND A NEW HOME YESTERDAY!
We have something extra special for a handspinner or felted out there! We have ONE bump of carded roving (a whopping 500g) of beautiful espresso coloured natural wool from the sheep here on the farm. We had a little bit of wool left over from some very special yarn we’re spinning and we thought that someone might enjoy working with it. It is only available in shop so pop on by and give it a hug 🐏💗

Today’s project spotlight is a fun cardigan by Mary Jane Muchlestone from “Grand Shetland Adventure Knits.”The Peerie Shop Cardi is a Lopi style garment which is knit in the round and steeked with an applied button band. We think it would look sweet knit up in our Selkirk Worsted.

Not ready to let go of summer yet? We’ve got a breezy shawl in Summerlight 4 ply that might be just the right project for you. Wiremu by Jane Crowfoot, from the book Rowan “Cotton Crochet”, is a generously sized shawl with an easily memorized centre portion and gorgeous lace edging. The pattern calls for two colours of yarn but you could easily incorporate more. You could make it subtle and elegant or go for the wow factor with bight punches of colour. Which route would you choose?

Today’s project inspiration comes from the Knitted Kalevala. Tuonen Karhu by Jenna K is a beautiful pullover which draws inspiration from the Finnish Kong of the Forest, the bear 🐻 We think it would look fabulous knit up in Selkirk Worest in Fir and Pearl. Sweet is feathery light and elegant pullover with 3/4 length sleeves in the book “Haze” by Kim Hargreaves. It would look beautiful is all the neutral shades but we think it would be particularly stunning in Kid Silk Haze Liqueur 🌹
