After nearly a month away from fly fishing for striped bass, My Monday morning was a pleasant surprise! 🎣

30+ stripers with takes on topwater fly poppers, Deceivers, and the highlight — my homemade Clouser minnow, now known to me as **The Slack Tide Special**.

I played around last summer with a similar color combo, and it seemed to work really well around slack tide. This morning, that color proved itself once again!

Safe to say I’ll be tying a few more! 👌
