Threw the drone up after my night shift this morning! Was a perfect morning to get some cool aerial views of the Community of Cape Dorset in Nunavut!

Would have been a perfect morning to go target some Arctic Char!

I spoke to a local a few days ago, and the Arctic Char are currently all in the lakes as they have already made their Fall Run! The only way these lakes can be reached is by boat about 2 hours away!

Hopefully I will have something lined up for next weekend and head to the lake before I leave this beautiful place!

⚠Today is the last day where people can fish all over PEI & retain brook trout or brown trout.

From September 16-30, they can still fish in all of their usual places without registering for the extended season. However, they can only use barbless lure and single barbless fly (no bait) and cannot retain any trout.

If an angler wishes to participate in the extended angling season for rainbow trout, they will have to register. The only difference over the next two weeks is that they would be unable to RETAIN rainbow trout unless they have registered. Registering for the extended rainbow season allows them to fish in designated sections of identified rivers until as late as December 31. Single barbless artificial fly and barbless lure - limit of 3 rainbow trout.

Those looking to angle for salmon can do so in the Morell and Mill Rivers following regulations outlined in the angling summary. Single barbless fly only and all catch and release, with the season in some locations going until October 31.
