The Art of Sandy Carruthers will be a guest again, and will be bringing the latest awesome issue of DARK COAST #4, featuring amazing comic book talent from all throughout the Maritimes! The Art of Sandy Carruthers and other Dark Coast creators will be appearing at the 10th Anniversary celebration of the East Coast Comic Expo (ECCE). This marks the ECCE premiere of both Dark Coast #1 & 2! Other Sandstone Creators that will be there are: Brad Seymour, Andrew Clark, James Dickson, Peter Breau, Tony White, Brianna Ormond, Hal Hilden and Sami Francis. Be sure to drop by our pavilion and check us out!

ECCE 2025 GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: Sandy Carruthers!

It's Friday, so it's time for our 'Friday the 13th' Horror themed announcement for the week. Owner of Sandstone Comics, published out of PEI, Sandy Carruthers is no stranger to spooky stories. In fact, he has put together an anthology collection of Horror tales from various Maritime creators, called 'Dark Coast', and he'll be bringing it to the East Coast Comic Expo this June!

Sandy Carruthers is a Maritime comic book creator from Prince Edward Island. His past comic work includes Invaders from Mars, Captain Canuck and Men in Black. He is currently owner of
Sandstone Comics, an Island based publishing house producing works such as Century Man and DARK Sanctuary (with writer Dave Stewart). He'll be bringing both DARK Sanctuary 1-4 as well as Century Man #2 (which he collaborated with NS artist Andrew Clark) to the show, and will be announcing his upcoming latest title: 'Dark Coast' an anthology series spotlighting Maritime talent. Sandy will also have his original art for sale, and will do customised commissions.

This weekend! Sandstone Comics will be at the 10th Anniversary CAPERCON in Sydney, Cape Breton! We'll be premiering DARK COAST #1 and #2, which features artists and writers who'll be at the show, including Andrew Clark, Hal Hilden, Brianna Ormond and April Baird!

We're so happy to have Sandy back with us this year! 🤩
