It's been a wild 2 weeks on the home-front. So much show, that I haven't given my love and energy to something/someone that truly deserves it, regardless of the situation.

Joey Brown, I fu***ng love you brother. You're gonna whoop Cancer's ass worse than ZPro's mom at Borderline PPV (B.A.R.Z And UBZ).

Warning! Self-absorbed pride post incoming:

I was recently having a period of feeling down, when that little voice in the back of my head forced it’s way to the front, and made me realize some things:

- When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be athletic, but I was the chubby kid with no coordination. When I accepted the reality that I would never make a sports team that I had to try-out for, I suddenly became the best 400m runner, 800m runner, and High Jumper in our Grade 8 class.

- When I accepted that high-school sports were to conpetetive to even have hope for making a team, I wound up becoming a championship athlete for every single sport offered in our area.

- When I tore my groin and both quads in Grade 11, I thought I would never find another passion. With the possibility of College athletics out the window, in my Grade 12 year, a girl convinced me to audition for our school musical. I went into that audition (in my Football jersey) assuming that I’d be laughed out of the room. When I thought that I could never learn to sing, That’s when I landed a major singing/dancing/acting lead role in the next 2 shows.

- When I thought that I could never learn how to play an instrument, I bought a guitar, and 15 years later am fluent in 9 different stringed instruments, with moderate ability in many others.

- When I was told that my voice was only made for theatre, and was too clean to sing Rock & Roll, I joined a band, and became the strongest rock vocalist that I personally know.

- When I was told that you couldn’t be a stage actor, and a theatre tech at the same time, I became the best at both.

- When I was told that people from Chatham can’t be successful hiphop artists, I became a record setting international battle-rap champion, going undefeated for 3 years over the course of 34 battles (on my first try)

- When they said that Online battle-rappers can’t make a smooth transition to the live-stage, I showed up to my first live battle with a room full of my opponents fans, and STILL popped the room. Also was voted Performance of the Night.

- When I thought that getting a chain/pendant from a Hip Hop brand was only for big-time success stories (like when Kanye got the Rockafella chain), I suddenly had a chain with a pendant around my neck.

- When I thought that my career in the legal cannabis industry was over, I was headhunted by my local dispensary for their national expansion.

Every single time in my life that I have felt less-than/inadequate/not qualified/not good enough, I ATTACK the core of the issue. When I do that, it’s rare that I don’t come out absolutely on-top.

Imagine what I could do without the bonds of depression?!

It is now time for our 2nd MAIN-EVENT! These 2 emcees might not have personal history, but their battle rap resumes are far too long to list here.

Cronic is undoubtedly an absolute PIONEER in battle-rap. Going all the way back to the days of the [ ](https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/elementsleague), he battled the GOAT [ ](https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/patstay), in the battle that sparked the modern age of our art form. While he technically lost that battle, he never stopped elevating his craft. Most recently competing on Capital Rap Battles (based out of Ottawa, Ontario), Cronic is here to plant his flag. When he came to [ ](https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/tosbattlerapleague), he made it very clear that he wasn't here to pad his resume. Cronic wanted a "REAL challenge".

He is the top-ranked singles emcee over at , where he is undefeated at 9-0. He came to The Other Side for the same reason that Cronic did. He would not accept a battle with just any emcee.

WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE!

Next up, is our CO-MAIN EVENT of the evening! (Well afternoon now, but let's not get into semantics). This battle, is the very definition of a "grudge match", so much so, that it deserves a bit of back-story.

This battle was originally the battle that this card was built around. BlackZod and Dab Napsian have a history that goes back many years, predominantly in the longest-running Online battle-rap league in existence: B.A.R.Z. Battle Rap League (be sure to check them out on Youtube. They still host some excellent battles).

The core of this current grudge, stems from a confrontation that Dab Napsian had with the CEO/Owner of B.A.R.Z., Tom Bland. During an emotionally charged exchange between the 2, Dab said some deplorable things to Tom Bland, which ultimately resulted in him not only being permanently banned from B.A.R.Z., but also being blacklisted from the battle-rap community as a whole.

BlackZod, has been a loyal artist to B.A.R.Z., and has even been a member of their staff over different periods of time (including right now). When the aforementioned conflict occurred, BlackZod stood by Tom Bland without wavering. This is why BlackZod took exception to the rumour that Dab Napsian was to make a formal apology/return to the battle-rap world.

Initially, Tom Bland was offered an undisclosed amount of money to battle Dab Napsian on this card, but he respectfully declined (and we respect that decision completely, given the circumstances). BlackZod however, was eager to step into that role, and go to war for his CEO.

So folks, here we have it. The CO-MAIN EVENT!
