Scar cover up! It’s so interesting to see how scars respond to needling throughout the session. Not only can needling techniques break up the scar tissue, the proceess stimulates fibroblast cells to swoop in and produce collagen and will continue to over the next few weeks. Cover-up transformation 💀.
This piece was all about turning an old, outdated trend into something bold and timeless. When I approach a cover-up, I’m always thinking:

✴️ Can I work with the existing lines or shapes? ✴️ How will those old lines affect a black & grey design over time?
✴️ Is the client open to going bigger to make the cover-up truly effective?

Cover-ups aren’t just about hiding — they’re about reworking what’s already there into something stronger.
If you’re thinking about redoing an old tattoo, keep these things in mind 👀
