15 August — The Day Three Motorcycles Came and Many Countries Fled!!! 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇦🇺
What a big shame!
You all ruined our country, you all ruined our lives — big shame on every one of you!
And shame on those in our own government — the president, the ministers, and all the thieves who stole billions and sent it abroad. How is it that they now live comfortably with good office jobs in these countries?
What does that even mean?
15 Aug I do really want to write more but looks like it makes me lose my mind.
Yeah we are peoples who trusting too much!!!
Before the Taliban took power in August 2021, there were military forces from about 36 countries in Afghanistan, mainly as part of the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission and earlier the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
These included the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Turkey, and many others — most were there under the justification of fighting terrorism and supporting the Afghan government.
How Taliban took power?
The Taliban took power in Afghanistan in August 2021 through a rapid military and political takeover that unfolded much faster than many expected.
Here’s a clear timeline of how it happened:
1. U.S. and NATO Withdrawal Announced
• In April 2021, U.S. President Joe Biden announced that all U.S. troops would leave Afghanistan by September 11, 2021.
• This followed the Doha Agreement signed in February 2020 between the U.S. and the Taliban, which set conditions for withdrawal.
2. Taliban Offensive Gains Speed
• As foreign troops began pulling out in May 2021, the Taliban launched a nationwide offensive.
• Afghan government forces, already weakened by corruption, low morale, and lack of air support, began retreating or surrendering without major battles.
3. Provincial Capitals Fall One by One
• Between early August and mid-August 2021, the Taliban captured key cities such as Herat, Kandahar, and Mazar-i-Sharif.
• In many places, local leaders negotiated surrenders to avoid bloodshed.
4. Collapse of Kabul and Afghan Government
• On August 15, 2021, the Taliban entered Kabul with little resistance.
• President Ashraf Ghani fled the country the same day, saying he wanted to avoid more bloodshed.
