A clear On/Off switch is easily one of the most important skills we can teach our dogs as it gives us the ability to turn chaos to calm, on command.

We use the cue ā€œAll Doneā€ when we want to bring energy levels down and end an exciting interaction.

Some situations weā€™ll use this cue include:

- Excited greetings
- Play/Training Sessions
- Play Sessions with other dogs
- When taking away a bone or toy

What do you think ā€“ meds for life or effective training?

If you missed my eye opening podcast with Dr. Josef Witt-Doering I am sharing it again (bellow).
SSRIs ā€“ the ā€œchemical imbalanceā€ myth thatā€™s been sold as gospel for decades. Fascinating how society bought into the magic of a pill.
The force-free trainers and AVSAB are fighting recklessly to ban tools that are briefly aversive yet HIGHLY effective, while cheering on meds that mask symptoms, donā€™t fix the root cause, and often keep dogs (and people) on ā€œmagicā€ pills for life.
Temporary contingent discomfort with a clear off switch ( dog in control) vs. permanent brain chemistry alteration with withdrawal hell?

ITā€™S TIME TO WAKE UPā—ļø
The Force-Free Lobby Is Moving Fast.

Dog training is under attack, not by science, not by welfare concerns, but by ideology disguised as ethics!

A new ā€œJoint Standards of Practiceā€ was just released by APDT, IAABC, KPA and others.
If this becomes the accepted ā€œstandard of care,ā€ hereā€™s what follows:
Tool bans
Licensing controlled only by force-free organizations
Elimination of R- and P+ from professional training
Criminalization or disqualification of balanced trainers
Courts and legislators using THEIR paperwork as the only definition of ā€œhumaneā€

This is not accidental.
It is a coordinated move to take over the entire profession and silence everyone who isnā€™t ā€œscience basedā€!
And once this framework is adopted, reversing it will be impossible.

We need to step up now.
Not next year.
Not when a ban hits your city. Nowā—ļø

I also believe there has to be a Balanced Training Coalition!!!
A unified front of trainers, working-dog professionals, behaviorists, and organizations who refuse to let ideology rewrite the laws of learning or erase the methods that keep people and dogs safe.
