Character Description: White Hat is a spry, eccentric, and deeply sincere man who appears on a rural Alberta road like a prairie guardian angel. Dressed in a white Stetson and armed with an arsenal of metaphors, gift baskets, and unsolicited kindness, he inserts himself into the lives of a stranded couple with relentless hospitality. Though his presence is initially unsettling, his intentions are pure—he’s a man on a self-appointed mission to help others, whether they want it or not.

His vulnerability is central to the film’s emotional arc, and his chemistry with Gal must reflect both tension and tenderness.
