STAYNER, ON β€” Clearview Fire crews responded to a residential property on Warrington Road after reports of a fire involving a garage/shed-style structure.

Firefighters arrived to find the detached structure involved in fire and immediately began suppression efforts. Thanks to the swift response of crews, the fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished, preventing further spread on the property.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Scene Watch Media has learned that Clearview Fire has confirmed the fire was contained to the structure, with crews remaining on scene to ensure there were no remaining hot spots.

🚨SCENE WATCH 🚨 | FIRE ON 62ND STREET

Shortly before midnight, firefighters from Wasaga Beach Fire Department responded to a reported residential exterior fire on 62nd Street in Wasaga Beach.

Upon arrival, crews located a fire involving a compost waste bin situated alongside a residence. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and brought the fire under control, preventing further extension to the home.

The incident resulted in partial damage to a fence, minor damage to the home’s exterior siding, and damage to the electrical service equipment attached to the residence. Fortunately, the quick actions of responding firefighters limited the impact of the fire and prevented any significant structural damage.

No injuries were reported to residents or emergency personnel.

Fire crews remained on scene for a period of time conducting overhaul operations and ensuring all hot spots had been extinguished before clearing the scene.

According to the resident, after sharing information online about the theft, a Barrie Police officer saw the post and reached out to offer assistance. Through the officer’s efforts, the bicycle was successfully located and returned to the family.

The resident says she was overwhelmed with gratitude, noting that what began as a stressful situation turned into a positive experience thanks to the dedication and compassion shown by the officer involved.
