Providence Living's, the Views, invites community members to come to the facility and enjoy their vibrant market tomorrow July 25th from 10 am until 2 pm!🌼 There will be vendors from local farms and makers set up showcasing and selling their wares, along with live music from 10:30 until 12 pm🌼 The residents, along with youth volunteers, will have home-baked goods and crafts for sale!🌼Thank you, Providence Living, for bringing this market to the community!🌼 If you can't make it to this market, there will be another one at Providence Living August 22nd 🤗🌼

Maddy at Island Affair Giftware is always a pleasure to see working in the store! 🤗 Maddy is cheerful, engaging and always points happy customers in the right direction upon request of a gift idea!🌟 Today a customer inquired about taking a candle on a boat, something nautical, that is not glass and Maddy took them right to Seabank Studios beautiful collection of driftwood candles!🌟 That candle will make the perfect gift, Maddy!👍 Thanks again, Maddy, for stopping to share what you do, and do so well 💯🤗

Learn about the history of the Town of Comox, Comox Marina Park and the seaside Estuary while walking around the marina and pier!🌟Information boards are placed along the walkway from the park area, along the promanade to the pier. There were many visitors gathered at the marina last evening near to sundown, which was nice to see 🤗

For a Feel Good Moment, visit the Providence Living, Together by the Sea, 2nd floor courtyard any Friday from 10 am until 11:30 am and enjoy Greg's wonderful cover of classic Elvis songs!🎶🌟 The residents, staff and visitors were sure having a great time this morning! 😀 🎶🌟

The Comox Valley Glacier Grannies invite community members to a free music concert at the Gazebo at the Comox Marina Sunday, July 13th from 2 pm until 4 pm 🩵
While there, donations are gratefully appreciated🩵 All monies will go to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Steven Lewis Foundation, with funds going directly to grandmothers in Sub-Africa who are raising their grandchildren who have lost their parents due to the AIDS epidemic 🩵 Virginia, an active Glacier Grannie member since 2007, wants community members to know that she, and the other Glacier Grannies, have deep sympathy and empathy for those grandmothers who care for their grandchildren, as it is life altering and heartbreaking 🩵 Music will be performed by Fourtune and The Watershed Band🩵Thank you, Virginia , for taking time to share the story of the very important work you, and the other Glacier Grannies, do🩵
The concert is sure to be enjoyable and very meaningful! 🩵

What a great day to start the day!🚎 Beginning at the kiosk at Port Augusta Street and Comox Avenue across from the Comox Centre Mall, the Short Run, about 45 minutes, aboard the Great Canadian Trolley, did not disappoint!🚎 Driver Anton could not be a better person to drive the trolley, as he is cheerful and engaging and helped to make the fun trip around lower Comox a lot of fun!🚎Anton wants community members to know that he gets a lot of joy driving the trolley watching the people he passes smile and wave, and the guests aboard the trolley thoroughly enjoy the ride!🚎Thank you for being so welcoming and great to talk to, Anton! I really enjoyed the ride on the trolley, watching the people smile and wave as we went by!🚎 I will do it again, for sure! I'll take the Long Run next time 🤗 Thank you, Downtown Comox , for bringing the trolley to Comox for all to enjoy!🚎

The Leeward property, on Anderton Road near Guthrie Road, is up for sale with a proposal for a mixed use development in place. The Leeward Pub (Bar and Grill/ Inn)
was built in 1976 and was the location of one of the first breweries in the Comox Valley beginning in 1984. The pub was closed in 2010 and the liquor store has remained open ever since. It is important to note that the site was first used for a one room school house, built in 1884, named Comox South School. The land, about an acre, for the school was donated by the McDonald family back in 1884 so that the children in Comox no longer had to walk over to Mission Hill, at St. Andrews Anglican Church, along Back Road, to where the first school in the valley was ( built in 1871 ). South Comox School closed in 1915. There is Historic Site #1 on the Leeward property, in place since 1984, when the site was designated. It is hoped that the developers retain the plack that states this🫶

The former lower Views has opened up! Assertive Demolition has finally finished, leaving Comox last weekend, and the fencing is now down.
Assertive Demolition did a fantastic job transforming the landscape into an open space, with gorgeous views not seen for many years.

Comox's Farmers' Market was busy today around 3:30 pm!💚Open until 6pm today, and every Wednesday from 3 pm until 6 pm, the unique market features many tables where local vendors are selling their hand crafted eats, treats and wares!💚 The market is located on the lower field between Noel Avenue and Robb Avenue, beside the Comox Community Centre parking lot, with parking available at the Comox Community Centre off Robb Avenue💚 Thank you local vendors for bringing your experiences to Comox!💚 Three vendor tables are featured this week!💚 Best wishes for success, everyone!💚
