Hunters and outdoorsy types, lured by tons of prizes, zany competitions, and a hearty buffet, packed the Agora Centre in Cornwall for the 25th annual event, in late November. The 2019 winners include: Josh Fickes – Frozen T-Shirt Challenge; Kathy Wick - Heaviest Buck (238 lbs.); Dan Lamarche - Heaviest Doe (163 lbs.); Bruno Pare - ATV Package; Raymond Rose Jr. - Crazy Dan’s Pickled Wiener Eating Contest. I’ve been scanning old 8mm movie films and came across some footage that I shot as a kid using my dad’s old Kodak Brownie. History buffs should be able to point out many long-gone landmarks from this brief tour of Cornwall in 1979. - Kevin Lamoureux
