We wanted to pop in with a little housekeeping note after hearing some great feedback from you! 💬

A few of you mentioned being confused by the dates listed in our newsletter titles — we were using the previous week’s dates to summarize past happenings, while also highlighting upcoming events in our What’s Happening section (forward-looking). But we get it — that mix caused some head scratching! 🤔

👉 Moving forward, we’ll keep the dates consistent across the entire newsletter so you always know exactly what week we’re covering.

🚨 This week’s SD&G Scoop is live — and it’s a special one! 🚨

We’re thrilled to launch a new feature where we go behind the scenes with local neighbours and businesses to share the stories that make our community so special. 🫶 This is just the beginning — if you know someone with a unique passion or business we should highlight, send us a message. We'd love to hear from you!

To kick things off, we sat down with Ron, an 82-year-old Ingleside resident who makes handcrafted birdhouses and feeders as a passion project. You’ll find him at his booth, The Bird House, every Sunday at the Morrisburg Flea Market. He’s built over 300 birdhouses since retiring, and his story is every bit as charming and down-to-earth as he is. 🐦❤️
