The goal of Big Turnip Records is to compile, preserve and record folk music which is deeply related to the Atlantic Canadian region, with its roots firmly planted in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Big Turnip Records is inspired by folklorists such as Helen Creighton and Alan Lomax with a strong focus on collaboration.
