When people say, “Your kids are so well behaved,” and I say, “Thanks, I don’t gentle parent,” it gets quiet real fast.

I don’t negotiate with toddlers.
I don’t let feelings excuse bad behavior.
And I don’t let my kids run the house.

My kids are loved, heard, and supported, but they’re also corrected.
There are rules. There are consequences. And no means no.

Structure isn’t toxic. Discipline isn’t abuse.
Raising respectful kids takes more than explaining feelings over and over.

You don’t have to agree, but it works for us.

Period.
