On This Day in 1946: the late AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott was born in Forfar. He spent the first 6 years of his life in Kirriemuir, before his family moved to Australia. This brilliant statue, by John McKenna, was unveiled in his home town in 2016. Kirriemuir also has an international rock festival 'Bonfest' every year in his honour.
