Event Cancellations
Cancellations for Tuesday, December 30:

Due to inclement weather and a forecast calling for continued hazardous travel, the County of Wellington will be closing the following facilities on Tuesday, December 30, 2025:

All County Administration Offices

All Social Services Help Centres and Offices

All Solid Waste Services facilities

All Wellington County Library branches

The Wellington County Museum and Archives

Mount Forest, Palmerston, and Aboyne Child Care and Learning Centres

Essential services that will continue to operate where possible include:

Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home

Curbside collection services operated by Waste Management

Willowdale Child Care and Learning Centre

RideWell Rural Transit Service (delays and service interruptions may occur)

Hanover Regional Aquatic Centre will be closed in the morning from 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. due to forecasted inclement weather. The P&H Centre Pool will reopen at 11:30 a.m. for afternoon programming. Due to forecasted inclement weather, the pool will close at 5pm and all evening aquatics programs are cancelled.

Dr. Emily Montag in Teeswater has cancelled all appointments for the day due to ongoing weather and road closures. Patients with appointments will be contacted to reschedule.

The Vanastra Recreation Centre is closed due to inclement weather.

The North Huron Wescast Community Complex is closed due to the weather.

All CMHA Grey Bruce offices are closed and social recreation activities scheduled for Tuesday are cancelled.

Clinton Veterinary Services is closed for the day.

Huron Perth Public Health's site in Clinton is closed.

One Care Home & Community Support Services office in Clinton is closed.

Listowel-Wingham and Area Family Health Team's Listowel clinic is closed for the day.

The South East Grey Community Health Centre, including all office locations, will be closed as of noon and all afternoon programs cancelled.

Hanover Medical Associates Medical Clinic is closed due to the weather as of 12:15 p.m.

⚠️ West Region Road Closures ⚠️ West Region OPP is advising the public of multiple road closures due to severe weather, poor visibility, and deteriorating road conditions.

ROADS CURRENTLY CLOSED:
⛔ Hwy 4: Clinton to Exeter
⛔ Hwy 9: Kincardine to Walkerton
⛔ Hwy 21: Amberley to Port Elgin
⛔ Hwy 23: Mitchell to Palmerston

Motorists are urged to:

Most roads are still in bad shape please avoid unnecessary driving stay home. Snow-squalls are expected to ease tomorrow afternoon.

Road Closures as of 2:20pm December 29th 2025
Highway 23 between Highway 7 / Elginfield Road and Frank Street in Mitchell is closed due to weather.

Highway 21 between Amberley and Kincardine for public safety due to a collision, as well as high winds, blowing snow and poor to no visibility per the OPP.

Collision on HWY 10 Both Directions between 4th Line, Shelburne and 240 Sideroad, Dundalk. All lanes closed.

Collision on HWY 10 Both Directions between County Road 16 / Hockley Road, Orangeville and County Road 10 / 10 Sideroad, Cardwell. All lanes closed.

ALL CANCELLATIONS TODAY ADN TONIGHT DUE TO WEATHER

Monday night Bingo at the Durham Legion is Canceled for tonight

The South East Grey Community Health Centre is closed for the day due to weather, the closure includes all office locations and programs.

All CMHA Grey Bruce offices are closed and social recreation activities scheduled for Monday are cancelled.

Mount Forest Child Care and Learning Centre and Palmerston Child Care and Learning Centre are closed.

All Wellington County Library branches are closed.

Young at Heart Euchre and Solo games at the Chepstow Lion’s Hall are cancelled for Monday afternoon.

Vanastra Rec Center is closed and all programs cancelled due to a power outage. Estimated restoration time is 1:30 p.m.

Huron Perth Public Health's site in Clinton is closed.

Bluewater Recycling Association has suspended collection for the Wallace Area (rural roads only). Collection is rescheduled for December 31.

One Care Home & Community Support Services office in Clinton is closed.

Wingham Complex pool is closed for the day.

Teeswater Culross Community Centre is closed and Mildmay Carrick Recreation Center will be closed after 3 p.m. following the free skate.

Due to inclement weather, the Town of Hanover Municipal Office and Civic Centre are closed to the public as of 1:00 p.m. today.

The Hanover Library has also announced its closure for today.

All P&H Centre pool programs scheduled after 3:30 p.m. are cancelled.

Due to inclement weather, Perth County’s Administrative Offices (1 Huron Street, Stratford) and Stratford-Perth Archives (4273 Line 34, Stratford) will be closing today (December 29, 2025) at 2:00pm.
