Sauce’s Annual Fish Fry is here. Can you believe is already 3 years.

This year we have added a couple new items to the menu that will compliment our traditional Yurimein (Whole Fish) dish. For all the people that have asked for steamed fish, your wish has been granted.

Enjoy some steamed fish with provisions, curried salmon and shrimp with white rice and seasonal vegetables and end with a coconut sweetbread for dessert.

We are open at 1:30 pm that day, so after Good Friday Church Service, you can come and enjoy.

I’m sure some of you have wondered what Yurumein means? It means St. Vincent, our Homeland in the Garifuna language.

Garifuna are one of the indigenous groups to inhabit St.Vincent and the Grenadines. They lived along the costal villages on the windward side of the island. Most of them were fisherman so fish was one of their main sources of food. To pay homage to the Garifuna people we named our red snapper after the word Yurumein.

Stay tuned to learn about the Garifuna people, their culture, their history of escaping slavery and where they are today.
