Can't quite believe it still, but last night Moon Dust in My Hairnet by JR Creaden was announced as the Gold winner for the Bill Fisher Award for Best First Book - Fiction.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2025 IBPA Book Awards, including the two Silver winners for this category - Born in Space by Jeremy Clift (ElleWon Press) and Caretaker by R.J. Halbert (Eald Talu House). While we couldn't be there in person, it was wonderful to see all the talent being celebrated on the livestream!

And of course, a huge thank you to the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) for the recognition, and congratulations/thank you to JR Creaden for creating such a phenomenal story and trusting Mythic Roads Press with publishing it. As a fledgling publisher, it's been an absolute dream working on this book, and the support from the IBPA throughout has been invaluable! ✨🎉🙌
