Hey all you movie fans, we have NEWS!

We are talking to Landmark Cinemas Canada right now about having an one night only ENCORE PRESENTATION of Contamination here in Edmonton sometime on the weekend of May 22 to 24. They are asking us what size theatre we want so we figured we will do a quick poll here on Facebook to see how many people want to come out to the movie, who hasn't seen it yet, and who want to bring some friends.

Please leave a comment on this post in the next 48 hours and let us know if you want to come see the film again or for the first time. Also let us know how many of you will come in your group so we can tell Landmark by Monday morning what size theatre for them to put it in.

Some cast and crew will be at the event and we will definitely do a Q and A right after again. We will also be making an announcement about Contamination at the event during the Q & A! 🤩

Drop us a note and let us know. Thanks everyone! Oh ya, one more thing. Please share this with everyone!

At Brimstone Pictures, we make movies for audiences—and that starts with the storytellers leading the charge.

Writer/Director/Actor Neil Chase is an award-winning writer with over 150 international honours across film and literature. Known for his versatility across genres, Neil brings sharp, cinematic storytelling to every project—from his directorial debut Spin the Wheel to writing and co-directing the hit action feature Contamination.

Alongside him, Director/Editor/Composer David Heacock brings more than 20 years of experience across directing, cinematography, editing, composing, and performance. His work blends technical precision with a deep understanding of human behavior, creating films that are both visually dynamic and emotionally grounded—while unifying every creative element into a clear, compelling vision.

These ultra-talented men are two thirds of the powerhouse trio that is, Brimstone Pictures.

New projects are now at different stages of development and we can't wait to create more stories made for you, the audience, in 2026 and 2027.

Brimstone Pictures is growing with new films on the horizon! We are very excited to announce that Hollywood actress, co-producer, and acting coach, Elizabeth Lavender, is joining the Brimstone Pictures production team.

With over 20 years of experience in film and television, Elizabeth Lavender brings deep industry knowledge and a passion for storytelling to her performances.

Her journey began on stage with the Mazoola Children’s Theatre, as well as in dance and figure skating. A chance film audition in her 20s led to back-to-back bookings, sparking a lifelong dedication to screen acting. She has since appeared in major productions such as The X-Files, Dead Again in Tombstone, and I Dream of Murder, among others.

Elizabeth is a graduate of the Motion Picture Arts program at Red Deer College, and has continued to refine her craft through training in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. Her career spans commercials, independent films, television hosting, and work on sets for major studios including Universal Studios and Fox.

In addition to acting, Elizabeth has contributed across various crew departments and has worked as a film acting coach in recent years. These experiences have led her to her newest role as Co-Producer with Brimstone Pictures.

Welcome to the team Elizabeth! It's going to be a very exciting and busy 2026/2027 production season.

So one of the things we keep getting asked is, 'What's next for Brimstone Pictures?' - Well we are keeping VERY tight lipped about this topic. We have been discussing and working on a few things for a while now with a couple projects but that's all we are going to say for now.

We have also been hard at work delivering Contamination to distributors around the world as each deal we do with countries closes. It's a lot of work but it will be worth it when the film comes out on streaming in the Western Hemisphere and abroad in different languages.

But.... since people keep asking what's next I've decided to really tease everyone with this image.

What does it mean?
Where is it from?
Is it part of the existing Brimstone Universe IP or something new?
We aren't telling. 😁

Just know for now that we are hard at work at some seriously cool stuff and there is lots of work ahead for us yet. When the time comes to reveal what we are doing it will be on this FB page first so be sure to follow our page.

Over the past eight years of our journey in film, we’ve experienced tremendous growth. Along the way we’ve met incredible people, built lasting relationships, and been asked many thoughtful questions about the process of making independent films.

As our films have begun finding audiences around the world, selling into markets, and becoming profitable, I’ve noticed that more and more people are curious about what it actually takes to produce a film—and whether there is any advice worth sharing.

The truth is that producing independent films requires wearing many hats. It means speaking with countless people, solving problems every day, and building teams made up of trustworthy, honest, hardworking individuals who all share a commitment to the work.

One of the things I love most about filmmaking is that no two days are ever quite the same. Every project, every challenge, every collaboration presents something new to learn. That’s part of what makes this industry so rewarding.

In film—as in life—learning never stops. Anyone who claims to know everything about making movies simply hasn’t spent enough time making them. There is always another perspective, another lesson, another way to approach the work. As the years go by, you gain experience, hopefully a bit of wisdom, and a deeper appreciation for the process itself.

Lately I’ve also been asked more about the business side of filmmaking and how we’ve managed to find success with the films we produce. The answer is complex and multifaceted—far too much to unpack in a single social media post.

But there is one guiding principle that I believe every filmmaker, no matter their role, should always remember:

"Pretending happens in front of the camera and not behind."

From the very beginning of Brimstone Pictures, David, Neil, and I have fully embraced this philosophy. Filmmaking can be a hobby, or it can be a serious business. What it becomes for each person is their own personal journey. But remembering that simple idea—staying honest in the work, in the preparation, and in the way you treat the people around you—will earn you respect, build loyalty, and ultimately help you make the best film possible.

If this resonates with anyone who is in the process of bringing their own films to life, then I’m glad to share it. I will always be rooting for the people who choose to take on the challenge of filmmaking—because seeing a film through from start to finish is no small accomplishment.

And anyone who has done it knows just how meaningful that journey can be.

Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil!

Even though our company makes supernatural, horror, thrillers, and of course action and sci-fi movies we always believe that a compelling story about good and evil, even when the lines are blurred, is at the core of the stories we tell.

We strive to tell a good story that audiences can relate to through the eyes of well written and believable characters. Brimstone Pictures has many more stories to tell and we are just heating up to go to the next level.

See you all at the silver screen palaces in the days, months, and years to come!

When you work with great cast and crew on films these people become like an extended family and our Brimstone Pictures family is constantly growing to include some pretty incredible humans.

In addition to our amazing extended family the businesses that also support what we are doing are a big part of allowing us to keep bringing excellence to the big and small screen.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of working with Rachelle Roberto Photography again at the one and only Evolution Wonderlounge EVO for a classy/chic photo shoot with some of our cast and crew from Contamination.

Many thanks to Murray Browatzke for allowing us to have this photoshoot at his amazing nightclub and of course to Rachelle for coming out from the Town of Edson to take some snaps of us.

Tomorrow night Contamination will be showing at the Landmark Cinemas in Edson, AB with the Brimstone Boys Preston Ewasiuk, Neil Chase and David Heacock with special guests, local Edson celebrity Jay Costall from Riderz and Canadian/Hollywood actor S-Raj Kumar.

We can't wait to see everyone out tomorrow night! We are very close to a full sell out so get your tickets tonight before they are gone! https://www.landmarkcinemas.com/showtimes/edson
