YEG bands really do rock!

Who caught at the YEG Rocks stage at Rockin Thunder the other weekend? They opened up for the whole festival, setting the stage for all the other amazing Edmonton bands that followed.

You can catch them again THIS SATURDAY (26th) at at 6:30 P.M.. Good food and great tunes...what's not to love?

It's a little bit of this...a little bit of that...and all rock and roll! Today we chat with Nathan from the BC band, Crones, about their 2024 album "Human Error" (which is currently available on vinyl), all the musical inspiration behind it, some of their older tunes, and their live shows. Nathan also gives us a couple of songs from his favourite BC bands, Britt A.M., Danny Bell and His Disappointments, and Scribbens.

On May 1st 2023, Canadians from sea to sea to sea were saddened to learn that Gordon Lightfoot had passed away, at the age of 84. Gordon Lightfoot was an Order of Canada member whose songs have been recorded by such great artists as Peter, Paul & Mary, Ian & Sylvia Tyson, Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan. Despite facing considerable medical issues over the last 2 decades, he released an album in 2020, and continued to tour almost right until the end. Tonight we’re going to listen to the first “Greatest Hits”-type compilation of the show. “GORD’S GOLD” was released in 1975, and the 22 tracks we’re about to hear cover roughly the first decade of his career.
