🔥 FORT McMURRAY… WE’RE COMING HOME. 🔥

In just a few weeks, Uncle Hemmy BBQ will be rolling into Hello Summer Festival and serving up enough BBQ to feed roughly 2,500 people over the weekend. 🤯

For us, this is more than just another event.

This will be the biggest event we’ve ever taken on, and I couldn’t be more proud that it’s happening in my hometown of Fort McMurray.

This community helped shape who I am, and being able to bring Uncle Hemmy BBQ back home, where it all started, on this scale is something pretty special.

On the menu:

My boy Kyle and his wife from Kyle’s Fried Chicken in London, Ontario, are flying across the country to help us sling BBQ all weekend. And thank you to everyone who’s offered support, advice, equipment, time, and encouragement along the way.

A special thank you to the crew at Drum Brewing for sharing their kitchen space and helping make this scale possible. If you’re enjoying the festival, be sure to support those guys and grab a locally brewed pint.

🔥 Making Flavour, Not Rules. 🔥

The vision with these spice blends has never been to tell people how to use them. It’s been to create flavours that inspire people to think differently about food and discover what they’re capable of in the kitchen or on the grill.

To me, the joy of cooking and eating goes far beyond another “All Purpose” blend or another “Brisket Rub”. The goal has always been to deliver something unique. Something that sparks creativity, starts conversations, surprises the palate, and keeps people coming back for more.

I think we’re doing exactly that.

Less than 11 months after launching, the very first rub I ever created, Peachin’ Ain’t Easy, has earned:

🥇 1st Place – Alberta Food & Beverage Awards

Honey, I Smoked the Garlic also claimed a finalist spot at this year’s Alberta Food & Beverage Awards!

From an idea and a pantry full of ingredients to award-winning recognition on both the international and provincial stage, it’s been an absolutely WILD experience. 🤯🙏

This is just the beginning baby!

Hey Edmonton!

We’re teaming up with Ink 4 Impact this Saturday at 11634 142 st NW for a special event to raise awareness for Veteran’s and First Responder’s Mental Health!

We will have 200 plates available, 60 will be donated to the event and 140 will be for purchase!

You’ll also be able to purchase our seasonings from us on location if you’ve been meaning to load up! A portion of seasoning sales will also be donated to the cause!

All Gratuities will be donated to the Veterans Association & Frontline Foundation.

Each plate will be $22 and include;

-1/3 lbs Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich
-Slaw w/ our Award Winning Peachin Ain’t Easy
-Smoked Pork Belly & Beans
-Kettle Chips
-Bottle of water

So if you’ve been following for a while and have been wanting to try our stuff now’s the chance as this is the first of many public events! We’d love to see you there enjoying our BBQ and supporting this great cause!
