$5 from every sticker and $10 from every t-shirt sold will be directly donated to Edmonton's Food Bank.

Edmonton, we need to speak from the heart. This has been the hardest year since we opened our doors in 2021 — even tougher than the pandemic. Rising costs have hit us hard, and without strong community support in the months ahead, we may not make it to our 5th anniversary.

This place has always been more than a restaurant. It’s a 117-year-old piece of Edmonton’s history, brought back to life with heart, smoke, laughter, live music — and your unwavering support that crowned us the city’s Best BBQ this year.

I’m thrilled to announce my first collaboration in over a year—and my first ever with an Indian restaurant.

If you’ve followed The Butter Chicken Odyssey, you know Mezbaan was one of the rare joints to earn a perfect five-star rating. Now, we’re teaming up to create a new version of that already-great butter chicken: the Mill Woods Murgh Makhani Massacre (M4).

Not only is Mezbaan making butter chicken with me—available in both the standard boneless style and a special bone-in option that nods to the original Delhi version—but they’ve also let me take over the restaurant’s soundtrack.

Hell yeah! Expect contemporary Bhangra bangers, classic rural folk, deep UK album cuts, and retro Bollywood funk and disco.

To launch the M4, we’re throwing my long-promised Butter Chicken Bash on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 5 PM.

Admission is $20 and gets you all-you-can-eat butter chicken (including my custom spicy batch) plus other goodies. Attendance is limited to 50 people, so contact me to lock your spot.

Please come through. Mezbaan could use the support right now—and they’ve earned it. I wouldn’t put my name on anything mediocre. They’re counting on me, and I don’t want to let them down.

One last note: this Sholay-inspired artwork was made with AI. I wish I could’ve hired a local artist, but I just bought a house and don’t have the money. And I’m just trying to help a local restaurant through a slow patch.
