Jeremy is the singer for Minneapolis band Rad Owl and a veteran of the Minnesota punk scene. He’s also a “veteran dad” of three children, ages ranging from 22 down to 14. As Rad Owl plan their migration up to Canada for an Alberta tour next week, Jeremy stopped by the show to chat with Brett.
Jeremy discussed how his singular goal as a dad is to have children who are good, kind people and he tries to instil an active learner mindset in them. He also spoke about how it’s important to set aside time to consciously engage with our kids and how those debriefs can be totally different for each child.
He also discussed his approach to songwriting with Rad Owl, their new split 7” with Quit Quit and their upcoming Alberta tour with SLIP~ons and Cutoffs
