Better late to the party then never right? 😈

THE HIVE stage by members of THE CABANA/SPACE INVADERZ and Inter.Sect Art and Music Festival .

It takes a hive to create honey. The Hive Stage is a collaboration of the past and present busy bees that have a love for creating sweet moments that ooze with positivity and happiness. This stage will be organic in feel and a comforting place to experience the succulent moments of life. You will be transported into a beehive where monster sized flowers grow- but don’t worry, there are no stingers here! This will be an other-worldly and engulfing dancefloor experience designed and build by some of the best in the West.

A huge PK Sound System by Edje Sound will be in place for DJs to unleash a vast range of music styles- Friday is primarily Bass Music, Saturday is mostly House, and Sunday is a mashup of everything from House, DnB, Bass, Trance, and Techno.

FKB is a high-energy, four-piece alternative rock band based in Edmonton; influenced by the mystique, glamour, and excess of the 1960s-1980s entertainment business. Their infectious, falsetto-driven “Beautiful Fantasy” (2021) is FKB’s latest release:

“’Beautiful Fantasy’ is us finding a way to connect our influences from the past, like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and The Beach Boys, with the modern sounds of Foster The People, Portugal the Man and The Weeknd,” says Shalka. “We wanted to draw from the excitement of our live shows and give people something they can dance to.”

Formed in Bonnyville, Alberta, the band is fronted by JUNO Award-nominated songwriter (2019), Drew Shalka, and features Travis Topylki (lead guitar), Derek Chalut (drums), and Alex Fedorouk (rhythm guitar).

In 2019, they won the Edmonton edition of the Jim Beam National Talent Search, which culminated in a showcase performance at Canadian Music Week. Bellamy, a JUNO Award winner and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, has produced all of FKB’s music, including “Bright Lights”, which was nominated for Adult Alternative Recording of the Year at the Edmonton Music Awards.

FKB has performed over 200 shows across North America since 2017.

Inter.Sect is proud to showcase the talent of Moonchild.

Olds, Alberta is a quaint farming town juxtaposed by a major roadway that cuts through it, presenting the possibility of being able to, at any given moment, simply follow it until everything starts to change. It was her adventurous spirit that led her from the heartland of the country to the center of Western-Canada’s spiritually infused bass scene.

Moonchild set out to explore the urban cultures of Western Canada. She moved from city to city, staying long enough to discover something new, but never long enough to hinder her free spirit.

The same energy that plucked Moonchild from the humble roads of Central Alberta are still reaching for new borders; it appears the energy of bass music is drawing HER back to its point of origin.

She chose to follow this road, and everything is still changing. With international space travel on the horizon, its only a matter of manifestation. Armed with her fiercely independent attitude and charismatic personality, you will hear a diverse range of carefully selected music mixed with that gangster flair- body, mind and soul.
