The lessons I teach my students are meant to help them learn English and settle into Canadian life. So when I told them I’m actually here on a work permit and not a permanent resident, their faces said it all, like, “Wait… are you even allowed to be teaching this class?” Honestly, I think I shattered a few worldviews that day. 😂
