Fast X - 2023
The first part of the finale of the Fast and Furious Saga is finally in the theatres and I could not stop myself from watching it. As a fan and movie lover, it is fascinating that the Fast and Furious Team has come this far from a small robbery and street racing to save the world from Cyber-terrorist, anarchistic and if we include Hobbs and Shaw then deadly viruses as well. All this saving the world is being done by cars, hats off to the writing team for coming up with an extraordinary and out-of-the-box plot and joining everything towards Dom's family or what fans call it Fast family.

The movie is not boring at all, that's the biggest thing all the Fast and Furious movies keep you engaged as an audience. You want to watch the next part to know what ridiculous stunt will Dom and his crew pull up. They have jumped High Tower Buildings in Dubai, stopped a Military Grade plane in London, went into Space and destroyed Satellite, and destroyed a world war grade submarine. This time they prevented the destruction of the Vatican since Dante Reyes (Jason Mamoa) has sworn over his life to destroy Dom and his family at any cost. The crew gets separated by this attack and has to fight for life. Since Agency was run by Mr.Nobody is hiding in the shadows and the new Director Aimes (Alan Ritchson) wants the team's heads and accountability. Dante Reyes is taking revenge for what Dom did to his father and, his fortune. Dante Reyes is possibly the best villain after Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in the Fast and Furious series. Will Dom and his team/family save themselves or is it the end of the line?

There is a very catchy catchphrase used in the movie that goes "Ride or Die". But the catchphrase does not live up to that, since nobody ever dies in The Fast and Furious. They all come back and at this point, if they brought back any character from previous movies I won't be surprised since they brought back Han(Sung Kang), Letty(Michele Rodriguez) and *SPOILER ALERT* Gissel (Gal Gadot) we did see her in the air probably landed on cushions on an airway. All the antagonists are working with Dom right after they lose him, like his brother Jakob(John Cena) who was the main antagonist in F9 and suddenly he is risking his life for Dom's son. These plot holes and poor screenplay is the only reason why people troll the movie.

It is a good movie to watch in the theatre since everyone deserves a break from monotonous daily work. The movie will make a lot of money no matter how much we troll the series and they are making two more final movies. We might as well watch them while Dom still has the age and passion to fight crime with his very expensive cars. We miss you Brian(Paul Walker) you did make it memorable since you balanced Dom in the movies.

Air - 2023
Air Jordan was the first shoe to be named after a Basketball Player. Michael Jordan was the greatest Basketball player after Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The movie is based upon Nike rising up and competing with the top brand which was Converse and Adidas. During that time Nike had nothing special and they were trying to enter the Basketball regime like other corporate players. The movie is directed by Ben Affleck and it is obvious he will have to have Matt Damon in the movie. The movie was released on April 5, 2023. I did not see it in theaters but the movie was released on Amazon Prime last week.

Nike in the 1980s was not a popular brand like it is now in 2023. The brand had a very heavy competition with Converse Shoes and Adidas. Their market share was less than 20% and the company was really struggling since most basketball players used Converse Shoes. Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) was the scouter for Nike in the Basketball division. Sonny had an eye for talent and the guts to gamble if he saw a good hand. Most of the companies were trying to get Michael Jordan as their representative since he was a rising star and had so much talent. The battle was about which company would Michael Jordan choose to be the brand he wears and represents. Sonny has to convince his team Phil Knight (Ben Affleck) and Rob Strasser (Jason Bateman) to put their money on one player and create a whole line of shoes around that player only. That idea from Sonny gave the discovery of Air Jordan.

The movie is a very nice drama-biographical and a sports movie. It is a very pleasant movie to watch since the screenplay is very down to earth and it is just conversations happening in the movie, no action or suspense just pure drama. For people who wear Nike and are big sneaker fans, especially the audience who are sneakerheads this is the movie to watch. Matt Damon did a good job and shines in the role. There were just a few parts where it didn't quite feel right where the actor acting as Michael his face is not shown to the audience. The movie could have added a better background music score since not everyone has to put 70's songs. The movie is a must-watch since it does show the Origins of the Air series for Nike. Everyone loves Nike! Just do it!

Blackberry - 2023
The movie is a biographical drama based on the rise and fall of BlackBerry. BBM used to be the hot thing until Apple launched iPhone with iOS, and Google came up with Android. Some people made tonnes of money but others lost their whole market in one day and the company was Blackberry. The movie is directed by Matt Johnson who also played Douglas Fregin co-creator of Blackberry.

The movie has a view of documentary and comedy with a background of how Blackberry was discovered and the idea of combining Email, Text messages and Phone calls in one device. Mike Lazaridis (Jay Baruchel) is very bad at pitching since he is the tech guy. He joins forces with Jim Balsillie (Glenn Howerton) who is a one-man team type ruthless corporate executive. He sees the potential in Mike and Douglas and the product they pitched to combine three elements from different gadgets and add them into one. Jim decides to invest in RIM (Research in Motion) and take 33% share and is the Co-CEO of the company. The rest is history since the biggest revolution we have seen anywhere is in the tech industry and did Blackberry survive the war with tech giants like Google or Apple. For that, you need to see the movie.

The movie is a very good blend of humour and the history of the company and the events recorded with it. The directional style is a bit different more like a documentary where a camera guy is following the main characters. The movie will be a sleeper hit since not everyone saw The Social Network in theatres but once it was released and everyone understood that the movie was based on Facebook it was a hit and commercially loved. The screenplay and the acting done by the cast are very good as well. Jay Baruchel could be nerdy, awkward and tech genius well that is called acting he did a good job. Hollywood should make more movies like this since they at least show something different.

Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar - 2023

The film is helmed by Luv Ranjan famous for directing Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. His area of expertise is showing relationships and reality revolving around relationships. There is no action or big blasts in the movie or suspense, just cheesy comedy and Bollywood romance which is not reality. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor. The movie includes everything family, romance, drama and, a lot of cheesy comedy and, don't miss the crappy music.

Rohan "Mickey" Arora(Ranbir Kapoor) is a spoiled upper-middle-class south delhi boy. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but values his family and one friend Manu Dabbas. He has his hand in a number of businesses making my jack of everything. But his specialty comes in helping people break up without guilt. That's the first red flag about our protagonist. He gets hired by his own best friend to help him break up with his fiancé. Unfortunately, Mickey falls in love with bridesmaid Nisha "Tinni" Malhotra(Shraddha Kapoor) a corporate, middle-class and very good-looking Delhi girl. They meet and flirt and that's the best part of the movie the over-acting somehow works because it's so cheesy and fun. The biggest revelation undergoes during the interval since Tinni hires Mickey to help her break up with her fiancé. The movie does not end there the second interval is probably the better half of the movie. It's filled with laughter, emotions and a tragically good ending which our Director is not known for.

It could be the crappy theatre I watched the movie, but did the director spend the whole music budget on two songs? The rest of the songs were pure torture and unnecessary. There is a very big reason why the main characters should not break up in the middle of the movie, it adds more time for the screen to see them patch up. That could be the only reason why the audience will not enjoy it as much as any other movie. But overall the movie did justice to the romantic-comedy genre. Both Ranbir and Shraddha are doing amazing in the movie, they are connecting romantically, physically and collectively. The first half of the movie did feel a bit uncooked and recently Ranbir gave a statement "We shot the movie for 180 days without a script" which can be seen. There was no moral established till the very end it just pops up and suddenly it's converted into a family movie. This can be seen as a girl you love v/s family you love sort of drama movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 - 2023

The new Marvel movie is a perfect balance of James Gunn's Madness and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the whole debacle of firing Gunn and then re-hiring him due to some old tweet, he did in past. Disney screwed up hard there since if they did not fire him he would have not made The Su***de Squad and The Peacemaker. DC saw his talent and passion for making movies and his creativity which was the right step they needed to build their cinematic universe. Volume 3 is the final chapter for the Guardians Universe but there could be more stories to tell. Since the universe is too big and too many heroes still have to be discovered.

The movie is the showing the arc about Rocket's origin and the creator of High Evolutionary. High Evolutionary is not some villain who wants pure chaos or destruction, he wants perfection and will destroy anything to get to his goal. That is scary since Villain normally has some stakes in the game but in this movie, the stakes are nothing but experiments which can be discarded at any point. The guardians have come a long way from fighting Ronan and Thanos and settled upon Knowhere as their headquarters. The movie is written as a final arc for this guardians team and it is done beautifully. The story is beautiful and emotional with a lot of heart and love.

The soundtrack Awesome Mix Vol.3 is amazing and has a good balance with previous albums. All the actors even the cameos did an amazing job to keep the momentum high for the film. It was amazing to see Nathan Fillion in the cameo as Master Karja and, Sylvester Stallone back as Stakar. The movie did feel a little rushed to a conclusion and Marvel could have easily played with all these characters more but it could be the fatigue this team has been playing the same role for the last 10 years. It could be the director rushing toward the end so he can work on future projects. The pace is very nice for the movie and the story works and it fits within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They can use Guardians in future projects and keep changing the team since they did save the galaxy so many times.

The movie is a must-watch and especially for Marvel Fans who are going through superhero fatigue since we are probably grown out or just not catching the vibe. But in a recent interview with Joe Russo who is the director of Captain America: The winter soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame said that Kevin Feige should be trusted with story building since he did make Infinity Saga what it is. All these movies and TV Shows are small dots connecting to something bigger which will make it an Avengers Level threat.
