Launched in 2015, NVMA is Edmonton's premiere, affordable electronic music DJ & Production school. Located on Jasper Avenue in downtown Edmonton, Alberta, NVMA features weekly night classes, weekend workshops, 1-on-1 mentorship, private studios for recording, and a community of professional and aspiring producers and DJs. Our weekly music courses were developed to be everything an artist needs to gain momentum in the music industry.

Have you ever heard this song? We hadn’t either until our ✨iconic✨DJ student played it in their final performance this week. Is it hilarious? Yes. Has it been stuck in our head all week? Also yes.

Our next group class begins Monday, April 20th at 7pm!

This course is a 12-hour, 6-week hands-on program focused on fundamental and intermediate DJ skills, including beatmatching, phrasing, EQing, and song selection. The course covers equipment basics, club-standard techniques, effects (FX), and microphone confidence, finishing with a live club setting performance (pictured!)

🐎A couple updates🐎

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to Double Dragon last Thursday for our first workshop of the Downtown Super Series, and a huge thank you to for sharing some incredible production knowledge and industry tips. Photos are on the way, but for now we’ve got a couple updates for this weekend.

Our songwriting workshop with the legendary has been moved to as we continue dealing with flooding in our space.

Good news: it’s the same venue Horsebreaker is playing that night, so you won’t have to go far for a full evening of learning and dancing 🖤

Sad news: our songwriting workshop with has been postponed to a later date due to a scheduling conflict. We know a lot of you were looking forward to this one and we appreciate your understanding.
