The live Shoebox show tonight is cancelled as The Student's Union Building has been shut down and CJSR is closed. Sorry for the Cancellation! We will play the music that was suppose to be played tonight on Future shows.

IT WAS A THEME SHOW ON WATER. THEY PLAYED THE ROOTS OF ROCK N ROLL TO ROCK N ROLL INCLUDING SONGS FROM THE SMALLS AND SNFU.

On Wednesday July 19th from 9 to 10 pm (MDT) The Shoebox is rebroadcasting the show from 10 years ago June 24th, 2013 with Pete The Rocker and his Son Brian who Also Rocks.

They played the Roots of Rock and Roll and Rock And Roll from Bands from across Canada including Best Friends and Yellow Teeth from Moncton New Brunswick , The Allens from London, Ontario , The Katamines from Lethbridge , The Courtneys and Dead Ghosts from Vancouver and Energic Action from Edmonton.

Energic Action was David Finkelman (guitar, trumpet), George Synnett (bass, guitar), Robert Burkosky (drums, guitar) and Kenton Bassett (Vocals). Energic Action Rocked! Sadly on January 27th , 2014 David Finkelman was struck by a car and killed while crossing Whyte Avenue. It was a very sad Moment for the Music community
in Edmonton and the Mighty CJSR as we lost a Rocker and a DJ who had his Classic Punk show on CJSR Big A little a. The Show has continued on with David's Friend Alex Mckie. Thank Alex! Check out Big A little a every Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.

The Shoebox Show on July 19th will be dedicated to David Finkelman.
