It was such a pleasure meeting and working with Raven Bright and Allyssa Trujillo when they came into the studio with Bear Grease LIVE crew.

Thank you both for the energy, kindness, and creativity you brought with you. I truly hope our paths cross again and that I’ll get the chance to photograph you again one day.

Tomorrow is workshop day at VOH Studio and I couldn’t be more excited!

I’ll be hosting a lighting workshop with my amazing friend and athlete Dustin Lavigne we’ll be breaking down how to sculpt the body with simple, dramatic low-key lighting.

We’ll cover:

How to shape muscle definition with just 1–2 lights

Posing and angles that show the physique at its best

Camera settings + light placement so you can repeat this in your own studio

Can’t wait to spend the day creating powerful images like this and helping other photographers push their lighting skills to the next level.

The Dark Queen

I absolutely love it when models, makeup artists, and designers reach out simply wanting to create art and have fun. That’s when the magic happens, the music goes on, the energy starts flowing, and I just go crazy creating.

I’m so grateful for the chance to work with so many talented people who share that same creative spark.

A huge thank-you to the incredibly talented Lucia , for asking me to photograph this inspirational makeup piece. You gave me full creative freedom to bring the vision to life, and I’m truly thankful for that trust.

And thank you to , our amazing model, it was wonderful meeting you and capturing your strength and presence. I hope we get to work together again in the future.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the session:
The sword before the Queen
The Dark Queen revealed
The throne of power

I’m just so thankful for days like this, creating, connecting, and letting art take over. ❤️

Honestly… I’m Blown Away

I was checking my website stats the other night, and I had to sit there for a minute just staring at the screen.
People from Kenya, Turkey, Brazil, India, the Philippines, Iraq, Oman, the U.S., and so many other places I didn’t even list, all visiting my VOH Photography page.

And that’s just a few of them. There were more. All over the world.

It’s honestly crazy to think about. Here I am, in my little studio in Canada, doing what I love, creating, dreaming, editing, pouring my heart into each piece, and somehow, people from across the globe are finding my work.

I don’t even know where it’s all coming from, maybe my Amazon listings, Etsy, TikTok, or just the universe spreading a little bit of magic, but wow. It’s humbling. It’s emotional. And it makes me realize that art really does travel.

So if you’ve ever looked at one of my images, shared it, bought something, or even just stumbled across my page from some faraway place… thank you. You’re proof that creativity really has no borders.

When two worlds collide, Halloween’s eerie shadows meet Christmas’s whimsical lights, love finds its way in between.

Jack and Sally remind us that even in the strangest of places, there’s beauty in belonging, magic in the mismatched, and wonder in the weird.

From hauntingly romantic to whimsically festive, this is the season where fantasy meets feeling at VOH Photography.

Because sometimes… the best kind of magic is stitched together.

Project Change | Retirement Announcement

When Project Change was created back in 2019, it was born with purpose, to raise awareness and support for a meaningful cause. The images from this series, including Voices of Change and all related works, served that purpose well. They sparked conversations, inspired compassion, and helped rais

Thank you Professional Photographers of Canada, I competed in the Professional Photographers of Canada, British Columbia Salon and submitted four of my images: Keeper of the Shadows, It’s the Real Thing, Change, and Voices of Change.

Every single one of them received a Merit! That alone is huge for me, I’ve never had more than one Merit at a time.

And here’s the kicker, they were all so close to Excellence. Each image had two Excellence votes, and just needed one more. To be that close across all four entries is beyond anything I could have imagined.

I’m over the moon, excited, emotional, and so deeply grateful. A heartfelt thank-you to the panel and panelists, not only for their time but for sharing their knowledge and insight. The learning I take away from this experience means just as much as the results.

This has truly been one of the best days ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

They say it only takes a spark to light a flame, and that’s how I feel today. Re-ignited, inspired, and ready to pour my energy into creating more images.

The Story Behind The Path Between

We all walk it at some point, that space between what we know and what we cannot yet see. The forest in this image isn’t just a place, it’s a metaphor for the unknown. Ancient trees rise like silent witnesses as the figure steps forward, drawn to the luminous opening ahead.

The light isn’t the destination, it’s the threshold. The Path Between is about standing at that pivotal moment of choice, where you’re caught between shadow and illumination, fear and hope, the world you’re leaving behind and the one waiting to be born.

It’s the journey into the in-between, the space where transformation begins.

Why I Became a Photographer, and Why I Blog My Stories

“I thought it was time to let it all out and share my story. I’ve put it into words on my blog, what do you think?”

At a very young age, school was never easy for me. I was misdiagnosed and pushed through each grade without the proper support. By the time we moved to a new place, my teachers told my parents that I couldn’t read or write. I was in grade three, and they said I was ADHD and OCD. Learning was a cha...

Keeper of the Shadows

This image was created in my small 8x14 home studio with an 8-foot ceiling. The subject wore a mask, a white-gray wig, and white contact lenses, with a fog machine filling the space to create that haunting, hazy atmosphere. In editing, I built a blue overlay to give the scene its spectral glow. The only digital adjustment made was slightly enlarging the hump on her back, everything else, from her posture to her hands to her expression, is exactly as captured in camera. This piece is what I would call conceptual fantasy portraiture: rooted in photography, but elevated into something mythic through character and atmosphere.

The Keeper of the Shadows is a guardian of the unseen, burdened with carrying the secrets and fears that cannot survive in the light. Her bent form marks the weight of what she holds, while her pale eyes pierce through the masks others wear, exposing hidden truths. She is neither hunter nor savior, but a sentinel at the edge of darkness, bound to protect the shadows that cling to every soul.
