At 7:38 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

A line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes is located from Sesekinika Lake to 10 kilometres west of Argyle Lake, moving southeast at 40 km/h

Hazard: Tornado, 90 km/h wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Severe thunderstorms will be near: Kenogami Lake around 7:55 PM EDT.

Locations impacted include: Kirkland Lake, West Montreal River Provincial Park, Matachewan, Argyle Lake, Mistinikon Lake, Kenaja Lake, Sesekinika Lake and Kenogami Lake.

This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.

Tornado warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing tornadoes.
