Another successful Road Safety Campaign has come to an end. Although there may still be some free LED arm bands circulating in southern Grey County, we have personally exhausted our supply of 4,000 bands. We want to thank all of the participating local businesses for their commitment to road safety. Thank you to Centre Grey Health Services Foundation and The Hanley Institute for their support and encouragement. Thanks as well, to municipalities, police and fire safety departments in Southgate, West Grey, Grey Highlands and Chatsworth. We want to also acknowledge the support of the Ontario Government's Road Safety Community Partnership Grant. Pick up a "Walk, Bike, Drive Safe" brochure to see all of our community partners. Hopefully, the arm bands will be used often, to keep us safe as we walk and bike, making us visible to motorists during these dark fall and winter nights. Stay tuned for next year's campaign!

This annual grass-roots campaign began as a reaction to a tragic 2022 hit-and-run accident in Eugenia and now in its third year, will distribute 4,000 LED arm bands to people across Southern Grey County (Chatsworth, Grey Highlands, Southgate and West Grey), accompanied by 3-panel educational brochures with valuable tips on how to walk, bike and drive safely through our communities. For $150, sponsors will get their logo on the brochures, as well as up to 100 LED arm bands to hand out for free to their customers in the Fall. Sponsorship is $150. Together, let's do what we can to prevent similar tragic accidents from occurring! Message me if interested in participating.
