well our first big doof of the summer is coming up in a couple days and the flashbacks have been HITTIN🫡

its those little moments that I start to remember… especially amidst the day 2 day grind 🎨

personally, Im going out to the farm this year to do some soul searching🙏I left my job of 5years yesterday and when I return from the farm, I start a new job in a new city 🌃

I am excited, and nervous, inevitably, but mostly curious as to what this new experience will bring into my world✨… I am super humbled that I still get to go out and experience shambs amidst all these changes, and I am stoked to be embarking on this new path right on the heels of what is always a transformative bass pilgrimage💪

It never ceases to floor me, the magic 🪄 of so many minds coming together with a willingness to open their heads and hearts to the experience. It fills me with inspiration to carry that willingness into my day 2 day…and I think I really need that inspo going into this new chapter🙏

I hadn’t seen my homie Jbone in a few weeks, and when I casually gave him an update on my life, he was like “yo thats a lotta doom and gloom you just dumped on me”…. I promise Im not tryna be gloomy, Im really trying to not get eaten up by the impending doom, but life been challenging me lately…

I need change.
I welcome it.
I just don’t know what it looks like yet…
I think a big bush doof with a bunch of silly wooks might help put me in the right mindset to embrace the change as it comes🫶

flashback to a couple Wicked Woods ‘s ago when we found our way into the booth with ★ Nostalgix ★ , one of our hometown heroines🫶✨ and yo… is it just me…or are her & aambrosiaa kinda doppelgängers?! 👀

its true, sometimes its a fluke, sometimes its earned, sometimes its just good luck or meeting the right person…for us that time, we like to think hard work and perseverance earned us that artist pass that put us in that moment on the Ursus stage and later backstage with some people we’ve looked up to for years like Gix and Wreckno✨🙏

it taught us a lot of lessons getting that opportunity to play WW and getting the full rockstar treatment…we’re just a couple of peeps from lil Duncan with big dreams that always pictures ourselves on that big stage. Once we finally got there, it wasn’t exactly everything we thought it might be, but it sure showed us exactly what we needed to do to come back and make it everything it could be.

So after that, we kept extra close to the music🙏Worked and worked. Produced more & more.
Since Wicked Woods we’ve felt like we’ve been watching from outside the gates. Riding the bench. Conditioning ourselves for when coach tells us lace up and that opportunity on the big stage may find us once again.

It’s so true with music and “doing” art. You can set goals, you can make plans….but it’s the kind of thing, you just do…and sometimes stuff happens 🤷‍♂️ it all depends on WHAT you DO and HOW you DO it…and thats goes for anything in life. If you keep the right team of adventurous, excited people around you, you will motivate each other…push each other outside of your comfort zone and the road of “doing” won’t feel as long and lonely🏜️

We’re on that road, we’re “doing it”. Over the last year and a bit we have compiled enough slappin’ original material to rock out some fully original sets… we’ve set our sights on the places we want to get to, but, its the kind of thing with this music grind that you just gotta keep doing and stuff happens sometimes. been thinking about making a full length music video for one of our 12 tracks 🎥🐇…do people still make music videos? do people still watch them? 👀

I remember a period in time, where all the homies would get together, smoke up💨 and show each other music videos… this is how I discovered everyone from Joey Bada$$ to Earl Sweatshirt (OG Earl viddy is 🐐’d) …the A$AP Mob to Freddie Gibbs… Tame Impala to Tyler the Creator… Berner to Mac Miller… Flying Lotus to Zeds Dead… that era was like 2011/12-2015/16?

Then idk something changed…or maybe we all just changed? Homies don’t really get together just to burn one… people got older, busier… plus… all of those artists i just listed blew tf up and idk… the videos got bigger, crazier, more expensive…but lost that touch 🪄

something underground, gritty, homemade felt like it wasn’t there anymore. dare I sound like a mega hipster, but it all just started to feel too commercial… maybe theres some bigger chess move at play there, maybe theres a psyop within all that, we can get into that some other day🌀or not lol

but yo the point is, music videos in the 2010’s were on FIRE!
The Wiseguy himself has a ton of music videos on You Tube you can go check out, theres even a burning mercedes in one of them 🔥🧙‍♂️

music can tell a story, and when you get the right visuals to help bring that story to life, it opens up a whole other level to the experience🎞️

movies have always been something Wise, Brosia and Felix have all had a deep appreciation for, combining visual art and deeply creative audio is truly a fascination for us as a crew, that we hope to bring to a level that has stoners getting together with their homies to burn one and dissect our music videos just like we did with all those greats back in the day…✨

hopefully people still have the attention spans!🤪

Late Studio nights, early work mornings

Why do we do it?

6 months of streaming!! 🎉

What a special time 🥹🫶

We always wanted to stream when we were running Lawnchpad shows, and there are a couple we managed up on YouTube 😁 but the constraints of the room placement made it difficult to make it a regular thing. Once we shut down events, some friends came and helped us rearrange, it became seamless.

Basically every Saturday for the last 6 months we’ve had so much fun gathering with our friends and streaming the music we like best, and once we started on this 12 week release run, premiering our newest song at midnight.

We’re so blessed to have the people we care about join us on this incredible journey. Things have shifted and evolved over the last 6 months, and the last stream of season 1 was especially important to us, as it was a farewell party for our dear friend Mitch 💕

Wise said the truest words ‘it’s like old Lawnchpad days, but not 🤣’

We get all the fun, all the music we love, all the connections ❤️ and none of the unpredictability that comes with throwing live events.

We’re taking a little break from the Lawn this summer, if you’ve ever been there you know how hot it gets in these summer months 😅

But our journey has just begun

Keep an eye out on our socials, we wanna pop up in some unconventional places this summer

And in the fall, we’ll be back full swing for season 2
