Sessions opened its doors May 1, 2008, with the vision to provide the best quality audio recordings, with the right production to compete with todays audio standards and to provide a platform for musicians to discovered by adding our live music venue, with professional HD streaming services capturing t

he moment to thousands of viewers online. Christopher's passion is to help musicians with their audio needs by always upgrading equipment to keep up with todays music industry. The music industry landscape is always changing and Sessions is keen on leading the way with creative ideas and solutions.

Sessions on the River - Chris Curry’s Vision

It started with a simple idea: music should bring people together.

For Chris Curry, Sessions on the River was never meant to be just another recording studio. After years spent around musicians, studios, technology and live performance, he wanted to create something different—a place where the line between the artist, the audience and the recording studio disappeared.

That vision became Sessions on the River.

Built inside a former movie theatre in Fort Erie, Ontario, Sessions grew into a professional recording studio, live performance venue and gathering place for musicians and music lovers. Behind the scenes sits the technology of a serious recording facility, but out front is something much more personal: a room where people can actually experience the music being created.

The idea was to give musicians a place to record, perform, collaborate and be heard.

Over the years, Sessions has welcomed established performers, young musicians stepping onto a stage for the first time, original singer-songwriters, tribute bands, open-mic performers and people who simply wanted to spend an evening surrounded by live music.

But the story of Sessions isn’t really about the equipment, the building or even the stage.

It’s about the moments.

A songwriter performing a song they wrote alone in their bedroom.

A young artist hearing their voice played back through a professional studio for the first time.

A room full of strangers singing along with a band.

Musicians meeting each other at an open mic and eventually creating something together.

Those are the moments Chris envisioned when Sessions began.

And like any independent music venue, the road hasn’t always been easy. There have been risks, long nights, changing plans and plenty of uncertainty. But the original idea has remained remarkably simple:

Keep the music alive.
Give artists a place to be heard.
And connect people through the power of music.

That is Chris Curry’s vision.
