Crowsnest Pass RCMP open one lane of westbound Highway 3

RCMP advised at 11 a.m. Tuesday that one lane of Highway 3 is now open at the Alberta-BC border. Traffic can get through but it is slow moving, Cpl. Curtis Peters said in a news release.
Crowsnest Pass RCMP advised about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday that Highway 3 westbound traffic was being held at the west end of Coleman.
A crash on Highway 3 in British Columbia near the border with Alberta resulted in Highway 3 becoming Impassable.
RCMP were stopping westbound traffic from traveling west of Coleman and Sparwood RCMP stopped traffic from continuing east of Sparwood.
This traffic disruption has remained in effect for several hours while the collision is cleared.
Motorists are advised to find alternate route or expect significant delays.

Found Safe - Earlier today Fort Macleod RCMP were seeking public assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old youth. Carter Bradley Smith has been found safe. Carter may be in the Lethbridge area.

Fort Macleod RCMP at 403-553-7220. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Carter is five foot 10 and 140 pounds and has black hair and hazel eyes. The youth was last seen wearing a green and brown hoodie, blue hat and brown boots

Due to a lack of nursing coverage, the Fort Macleod Health Centre emergency department is temporarily closed from 7:30 a.m. until 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4.

During the closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.

Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS calls will be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. Patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Pincher Creek Health Centre, Cardston Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Residents can call Health Link at 811 for non-emergency health-related questions. Individuals requiring non-emergency medical care are also encouraged to call their family physician.
