Another favorite media from this year 🎥

Weapons is the kind of horror movie that dares you to outthink it. I spent the entire runtime trying to guess where it was going, building theories, tearing them down, and feeling very confident… right up until the movie calmly proved me wrong.

It understands that suspense lives in anticipation, not just jump scares. The tension keeps tightening, the unease never lets up, and when the surprises land, they hurt in the best way. It’s smart, cruel, and deeply unsettling without ever feeling cheap.

If you love horror that plays mind games and still manages to genuinely shock you, Weapons delivers.

Next up in my Favorite Media of the Year lineup 🎮

Dispatch completely won me over with its writing. Sharp, funny, and surprisingly human, every character feels like someone you actually want to spend time with. No filler dialogue, no cardboard cutouts, just strong voices making every choice feel meaningful.

It plays less like a traditional game and more like a perfectly paced choose-your-own-adventure, where you choose how it plays out and no play through will be exactly the same. And honestly? That’s the magic. I was locked in the whole time, not because of flashy mechanics, but because I needed to know what happened next.

I’d watch an entire series set in this world without hesitation. If you care about story, characters, and smart writing, Dispatch is an easy standout this year.

First entry in my Favorite Media of the Year series.
Plur1bus (Apple TV+) is one of those rare shows that trusts the audience. No hand-holding, no neon arrows pointing at the “meaning,” just atmosphere, confidence, and a slow drip of “wait… what?” that keeps your brain happily occupied long after the episode ends.

It’s stylish without being flashy, smart without being smug, and it turns confusion into a feature rather than a flaw. Half the joy is piecing things together, unpacking tiny moments, and realizing the show has been quietly playing chess while you thought it was checkers.

If you like media that rewards attention, patience, and curiosity… this one sticks the landing.
