Merry Christmas, friends!

Hope you're spending some quality time with those you love this week... As you may know, we lost one of our kitties almost three weeks ago but this card from our vet, opened this morning, put her right back in the room with us. I also framed two of our favorite pics 🥲

Making more mocha cakes and getting a bit experimental... Added almond extract instead of vanilla and used chocolate crumbs for some of them.
I just put them in the freezer ☺️

I think it was my 11th birthday and my mom asked me what kind of cake I wanted.
I told her 11 mocha cakes 😄

This traditional Carleton County NB recipe is pound cake cut into 1" squares, dipped in a liquid instant coffee/icing sugar mixture then rolled in crushed peanuts

We bought these at the Boyce Market this morning and I'll give em a 7 out of 10... not as good as mom, Marion and Ida used to make, but still pretty good. Maybe I'll make my own this Xmas 🎄

Hi everybody it's been awhile, eh?

I've been somewhat immersed in my new gig working for the province (and loving it), so I haven't been motivated to post much.
With preparations well underway for our 13th Annual Walkerween Party Saturday night, I thought I'd take a moment from watching my wife put up all the decorations to soak in some of this sweet ☀️ and make up a tune for you. What would you name it?
