Just wrapped up a 3 day mixing extravaganza with and their new upcoming album 🤘

I don’t think they will mind me saying this thing is weird and nasty, in the best way possible! It’s also very catchy, heavy, dramatic, and exciting. Surely a full course listen when it comes out!

I had a blast collaborating on the production with the group. There are some stellar tones and sounds on this thing. Be sure to follow them to stay up to date on the release!

Another excellent session over the weekend 🙏

It was great to have Ryan Gardiner back at the studio. We recorded together a year or so ago, so it was great to have him back. This time he wanted to record with a band live, brought bass player Josh, and enlisted the help of the resident drummer, Stefan Westner.

It’s a real joy to work this way, where everyone can contribute ideas and collaborate, then watching a song come to form. Nothing better!

💚FRESH LOOK 💚

Coming into the holidays & new year with a new coat of paint, and it feels so good! But why green?

It was nearly a year ago when my band, Marian, were mixing our record in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at Fang Recording. After the sessions back at our Airbnb, we started watching Get Back, the Beatles documentary. The Fab Four eventually move into their newly-made Apple recording studio, and it has these super rad green floors 🤯 (picture in the last slide)

My studio mate Stefan and I decided we should have green floors too, and here we are! Im quite sure the floors have more tone now 😎

An exciting new release outta the studio 💥

Steve Zaat released his new album “Not That Far”, and what a pleasure is was to work on it! It’s easily the quickest turn around of an album I’ve ever been apart of, just taking us 24 days to complete start to finish. Its quite the eclectic collection of songs that span Steve’s long career as a songwriter. Side note, he also has maybe the best Les Paul I’ve ever heard, haha!
